WWE Divas - Entertainment Par Excellence
Tuesday, August 5th, 2008
Referring to a woman as a ‘diva’ is an ultimate compliment. It means ‘to be outstanding and talented.’ The word originates from the Latin ‘divus’, which means ‘divine one.’ The word diva is used to refer to the most famous female celebrities and it’s used on film stars, singers, performing artists and now, the well-built and shapely women of World Wrestling Entertainment.
Among the sexiest female celebrities in the world, WWE divas are also among the most entertaining athletic performers of the new era. The best known WWE divas of our time include Candice Michelle, Maria Kanellis, Torrie Wilson, Jillian Hall, Melina Perez, Beth Phoenix and Victoria. Intense training is very much a part of their daily lives and they are quite adept at putting on a thrilling and energised show for the audience.
But WWE divas did not always put on a show this way. Though they were always lovely, their in-ring action used to be severely limited. They used to act as valets to popular male competitors, accompanying them to the ring and often, giving them some, not strictly legal, but infinitely entertaining, help. Stars like the Heart Break Kid Shawn Michaels, Hulk Hogan and Macho Man Randy Savage had valets of this sort. The first WWE divas to garner attention as wrestlers were the likes of Trish Stratus, Sensational Sherri Martel, Miss Elizabeth, Sunny, Sable and Terri Runnel. Terri and Trish became celebrated as pro wrestlers in their own right.
Divas have come and gone and it’s been rough-and-tumble for them throughout the years. The most famous WWE title for female wrestlers is appropriately named WWE Women’s Title. These WWE divas have made women’s wrestling so popular that ambitious young contestants flock the annual WWE Diva Search competition with hopes of becoming the next diva.
WWE divas participate in regular wrestling entertainment events, such as Smackdown, Raw, ECW and Pay-Per-View. The wrestling has also taken a more unconventional form, with pudding and gravy bowl matches, lingerie pillow fights and bikini battle royals. These wrestling divas attract many wrestling fans and casual observers, because of their eye-appeal.
The reigning WWE Raw Women’s Championship title holder is Mickie James, who was awarded the title on 14th April 2008.
WWE focuses on professional wrestling of all types and promotes it through three brands - Raw, ECW and SmackDown. Professional wrestling is considered as a simulated sport and performing art, which means it’s a combination of athletic wrestling and dramatics. WWE is the the world’s largest professional wrestling promoter and holds great significance in the sporting world.

This is only possible when the income for the provider is generated from the subscribers instead of the advertiser. You can listen to many hours of listening pleasure by tuning in to the channel of your choice and select the kind of music you want.
You can enjoy hours of listening pleasure by listening to a satellite radio service. This type of radio uses digital signals so expect to hear crystal clear music!
Satellite radios do not only receive just the radio signals but also information that lets you know the title, the artist and the other related information pertaining to the current song being played. Al related information will be displayed when a song is being played.
Whenever a song is played, the related information will be displayed as well. You will find it helpful to be able to know the name of the artist and title of the song by looking at the display panel.
These channels are also completely uncensored! There are no beeps to be heard throughout the entire song. There is also information on the latest traffic updates and weather reports.
This will give you great information, especially for those who are often caught in traffic jams so you can plan your route back from work. In cases of national calamity and other stations cannot broadcast, satellite radio is the only source of information.
If you still feel that you shouldn’t have to waste money paying for a service that you can get for free, think of the times you lost to infomercials and lousy programs from those free terrestrial stations. Even the traditional radio is not free.
You have to listen to commercials being aired that lasts for about five minutes or so before you finally hear the song you want. The best part is it costs only 13 bucks to get rid of all these unwanted commercials.
There are plans to include video into the service in the future. Sirius and XM services have made some recent announcements about the possibility of this service. Now everyone can enjoy pure delightful music, great programs, and commercial free hours of listening pleasure that covers a wide geographical area.
